Analisis Partisipasi Masyarakat dalam Menunaikan Zakat Pertanian di Kelurahan Lelamase Kecamatan Rasanae Timur Kota Bima

Abstract

The objective of this study is to identify the form of community participation in Kelurahan Lelamase, Rasanae Timur District, Bima City, in fulfilling agricultural zakat obligations, as well as the obstacles and challenges faced by farmers in paying zakat on agricultural produce. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method. The findings show that the form of community participation in Kelurahan Lelamase has been good, as they directly give their agricultural zakat to the mosque and to the UPZ, without going through an organized zakat management institution. Zakat payments are also influenced by harvest conditions, whether successful or not, including crop failure. However, the community's understanding of agricultural zakat payments remains low, due to the lack of outreach from Baznas, the minimal role of religious figures in addressing agricultural zakat topics in mosque sermons, and social or customary factors that lead people to believe that giving alms (sedekah) already represents zakat during the harvest season. In fact, in the Qur'an and Hadith, the nishab and haul for agricultural zakat have been clearly defined.
