Upaya Meningkatkan Kesadaran Sejarah Dengan Ketokohan Dan Keteladanan Sultan Abdul Kahir Dalam Pembelajaran Sejarah Pada Siswa Kelas XI SMA 2 Wera

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the efforts of history subject teachers to increase historical awareness in class XI students at SMA Negeri 2 Wera. This research uses qualitative research methods with a qualitative descriptive approach, the data collection techniques used in this research use observation, interviews and documentation, for data validity using source triangulation, method triangulation and theory triangulation. For data analysis in this research, three activity streams were used simultaneously, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing or verification. Based on the results of observations and interviews in this research, teachers plan learning well, by choosing structured learning methods, approaches, models and strategies that are appropriate to the learning material. Apart from that, the history subject teacher prepares history learning material based on local wisdom with material on the character and example of Sultan Abdul Kahir. Factors that influence students' historical awareness are teacher competence, a pleasant classroom learning atmosphere and environmental conditions.
